Yeah. I have all of their movies. Swing Time is...Brilliant. Never Gonna Dance had me nearly in tears. I think A Fine Romance is my favorite song from the film (too bad there wasn't a dance to accompany it).

Yes, at the very same time as Fred and Ginger promote sophistication, they knock it--literally, or should I say physically. Do you have the DVD for Swing Time? If not, get it and look at Never Gonna Dance and Waltz in Swing Time. Remember, rhythm saved the world!

Vincent Youmans had a mighty chip on his shoulder-born the day after George Gershwin and always felt pipped to the post.Even attempted to sue him once..

Guess it's a good thing Fred wasn't much taller than Ginger...or else that dance would have looked awkward! They're absolutely wonderful.

Gracias for this, Merson. Try hard to check out Eleanor Powell in Ship Ahoy (1942). She does brilliant things with a matador's cape.

Honey Hale is my favorite character of Ginger's, she's feisty and sexy--and funny. "Have a cookie?" See the movie, and enjoy the dancing to the music of the great Vincent Youmans. I wonder what pleasant surprises all that unpublished material of his holds?
