It was really hard not to want to get a pair of CDJ-800's particularly after seing this video, and even the CDJ-200 review. But I ended up getting 2 Numark iCDX. With the USB control support and playback from iPod it was too hard to resist. AND they just dropped the price to $499. But we'll see if I can escape the stigma of not having Pioneers. They are indeed the choice of every DJ I know. Sometimes you gottablaze a trail. I'll let you know if it was a mistake.

In retrospect, I was wrong to say that pioneers 'are the best'. I have tried most popular models as I have been djing for eight years. I also live in a part of the world where there is a very large community of djs. At all events we use the Pioneer 1000s because it has become the general preference. If you have a cdj that works better for you than the Pioneer, then great! It is merely a difference in opinion.

Why do people say pioneer is the best all the time? I have a CDJ 800 and 2 CDX's from Numark. Pioneer has quality products but the CDX's offer a really realistic vinyl-touch, as I played vinyl before purchasing them, they really feel like vinyl. You should try everything out before claiming somtehing is the best. Don't forget it's a matter of taste as well. Speaking of quality both CDJ and CDX are really good !
