"say what you want about Clapton and his blues-I'll take Setzer and his rockabilly." Yep. Clapton's never made _better_ blues than the guys he admires, so it sort of seems there's not much point; meanwhile Setzer, all in all, makes _better_ '50s-R&B/rockin'/pop-style music than Haley, Prima, Vincent, Moore, etc. did.

I've been a Setzer fan since I saw a Stray Cat's video on MTV when I was 6 or 7. I love the blues and I love rockabilly(blues with a country beat acording to Carl Perkins). I think Setzer is up there with the greats. You have a point about EC. I really like him too, but his blues doesn't always stack up next to BB King, or Albert King, or Muddy Waters, but Setzer's music stacks with Moore, Perkins, and Eddy.
