peggers33 ::: Favorites 2007-10-30 13:47:37 Love this video! I am an adoptee myself and I have recently reunited with my birthmom. I had a lot of the same feelings as you before finding her and also during the search. What if I came into her life and she doesnt want me there? What if she has other children and a husband now? I ended up finding her and she was really happy I did! I have a new sister now as well. Its been a rough road, but I couldnt be happier. Good luck with everything! __________________________________________________
treycievelyn ::: Favorites 2007-10-30 13:24:34 I am a birthmom. It has been almost 18 years since I placed my son up for adoption. All I have ever thought about is finding my son. The thought of never finding him is devastating to me. And I think, in saying that, I believe I could be very sure that I would be speaking for most of us in this situation. I would say, give her a chance, because, she is very likely to have been devastated by being separated from you. __________________________________________________
TheHighVic ::: Favorites 2007-09-28 14:59:40 uhm.. dont smoke while you make movies, unless they got to do with smoke.:D __________________________________________________
madamoisele1 ::: Favorites 2007-08-04 12:11:03 Wow. You look amazingly like me. __________________________________________________
AmRisArt ::: Favorites 2007-06-30 17:10:35 What if your mother is longing desperately to know you, as I long for my son? I made a video for him and responded with it... What if she never wanted to let you go, but was coerced because of her age, as I was coerced because I was poor and single AT THE TIME? "She was JUST the woman who gave birth to me." Can I ask you if you could "just" give birth to your daughter, walk away, and not think about her again, ever? Why does it make sense to you to believe your mom could do that? __________________________________________________
hailstorm1375 ::: Favorites 2007-06-15 14:46:03 with the way things are going with my health right now, I may need to seek out some family medical info, and I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately. __________________________________________________
madoldwoman ::: Favorites 2007-06-15 09:07:42 Everyone is different, so every reunion is going to be different. Most do go well, but it is a gamble and you have to be prepared for anything. In my case, I found my son. He has been reunited with his father and all of his siblings - things are good. I help others to find now and run a web site "Looking In Ontario" (should you be interested). However, even with reunions that are not perfect, people still get answers which they did not have before. Good luck with whatever you choose. __________________________________________________
believeinthis410 ::: Favorites 2007-03-03 21:35:38 I think it's interesting how the pulls are. I know, though, that it's not easy 'cos I had those feelings too? I have had my bmom in my life, though... but like you said, she's more of a best(est) friend to me than a mum. I love her dearly, and I don't know. It's different for everyone. God bless __________________________________________________
auntkatkat ::: Favorites 2007-02-04 20:35:02 If you don't feel a real need to go searching then don't. It was a very disappointing experience for me that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. I'm sure for a lot of people it is great, but always prepare yourself first! __________________________________________________ |
