jab506 ::: Favorites 2007-12-12 21:34:00 OMG!! you used the word "diddled" Holy crap...I thought my sister and I were the only ones out here using that word...LMAO I'm getting ready to read this book by the way and I'm really excited. I have a son with High functioning Autism that has a lot of Aspie traits. __________________________________________________
1smrtmuffin ::: Favorites 2007-12-09 20:34:08 i think its great that you know the brothers have become such great writers coming from such a disturbed family and all. __________________________________________________
breeeegs ::: Favorites 2007-12-04 17:38:29 do my ears decieve me, or did he just call his brother "an oaf"?! __________________________________________________
breeeegs ::: Favorites 2007-12-04 17:36:50 the questions he asks seem a little on the obnoxious side (i.e "if you could have sex with your tractor, would you give up your wife?") still fascinating to hear him speak, though __________________________________________________
cheekykiki78 ::: Favorites 2007-11-29 01:28:24 I can't wait to get this book. Mr. Robison, i am sure has some very good tales to tell. __________________________________________________
jimmynorton1001 ::: Favorites 2007-11-18 09:00:27 This is the VERY FIRST TIME HEARING HIS VOICE and witnessing his manerisms. I read 'dry' and just finished "wishful thinking" last night. I am not in recovery yet, but if he can do it I know I can. __________________________________________________
cuchulain55 ::: Favorites 2007-11-16 16:15:58 what does diddled mean? __________________________________________________
music4now ::: Favorites 2007-10-24 01:33:12 friend, i'm sure he's flattered you feel that way! I mean these types of people are few and far between __________________________________________________
tntdns ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 19:10:28 He reminds me of a grown up version of my son. Read his book. Troy's Amazing Universe __________________________________________________
UltrasoundWNC ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 21:04:40 Looking forward to reading the book. Intrigued that it was written. Grew up with a bipolar psychotic mother myself. Interestingly enough.... I have a nephew w/ Asperger's. I am thankful that the Robison/Burroughs brothers have shared their stories with us. __________________________________________________
marcnjennsmom ::: Favorites 2007-10-09 20:00:32 I bought the book just because the author was Augusten Burroughs and I read Running With Scissors and absolutely loved it, so I assumed his brother would be just as great. The book is good but not as disturbing as Running With Scissors. It's more psychological than anything but still a good book. __________________________________________________
apeirophobia ::: Favorites 2007-09-22 04:19:51 I'll check it out sometime... The general public needs to be more informed about "neurodiversity" and realize that we aren't just robots and creepy recluses. We can be robotic creepy recluses with a sense of humour. :) __________________________________________________
Delta2477A ::: Favorites 2007-09-21 15:32:01 Hard to believe from 1943 (when Leo Kanner) or 1944 (Hans Asperger) to 1994 there was no official designation for this disorder! Technically Leo Kanner and Hans Asperger did coin the same term for it (amazing as they didn't know eachother), but it never took off. The term they chose was "Autistic Psychopathy". With that said, I'm glad that wasn't the final formal designation chosen! __________________________________________________
llthgig ::: Favorites 2007-09-21 04:51:26 I hope the book is as good as Augusten's works. __________________________________________________
Delta2477A ::: Favorites 2007-09-20 21:57:06 I have Aspergers syndrome also. I was diagnosed in the mid to late nineties with the disorder. Before that nobody really knew what I had: Other than being socially inept, having a photographic memory, and a focused series of interests (almost always science, or mechanical in nature). __________________________________________________ |
