September the 20th is a day to MARK as very crucial to this whole story. That is the sentencing date now for one of the young men shown in the last part of my Video. So I felt it important to put this video together to shed light on this for those whom would wish to respond, would find a way to that means in this connection. Sign the petition... write your congress men or even the President himself. Go to Jena Louisiana if you can on that day! Send money for the defense of these poor young black men. Or just become aware that this is still going on 50 years later. As we approach the 50th anniversary of the integration of Central High School, another case in Louisiana is getting attention. The students who integrated Central High in 1957 became known as the Little Rock Nine. Today, they are being joined by the "Jena Six." Six black teenagers are accused of attacking a white teenager at school. I struggled what to do if anything about my feelings about a situation that has come to my attention. I felt would try to "Shed A Little Light" upon this one injustice knowing that this is just one lost case of many which go to the way side and never to be heard or dealt with. It's nice for us all to sit in front of our nice computers and watching pretty and moving Videos and connecting in such a peaceful and loving way. But the truth is there is pain, injustice and cruel bitterness in the world about us that we CAN and must do something about. We just need to push away our safe homes and go outside and look about us. The reality there is many whom are living just for survival and hardly getting by. The mark they bare only that they were born black and perhaps even poor. They are born with oppression and treated with hatred just because of the shade of their skin. How could this be happening still in the world in the year 2007? Crazy but true. Here are links and a petition for you all to check out yourself. Please go read them all and check out the stories for yourself. Then let's DO something about it. Even if you think the gesture is small towards a change of racism it will make a impact if more and more change their mindset. My dream is the same as someone whom came before me and was much greater then most of us could ever imagine to be. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that the world would be free for everyone! They were expelled then their connections had it changed to suspension.
